Five Key Styles for Great Leadership Training Course

$27.50 inc. GST

Leadership style isn’t fixed — it’s a skill leaders can identify, adjust, and improve. This course examines five distinct leadership styles — Delegative, Authoritarian, Democratic, Managerial, and Transformational — and shows leaders when each style works best, and when it doesn’t. Rather than treating leadership as a fixed personality trait, this course frames it as a flexible set of behaviours that can be learned, tested, and refined on the job.

Designed for leaders at any level, this course gives participants the tools to recognise their default style, understand its limitations, and adapt their approach to suit different teams and situations. Learners finish with a completion certificate and two practical, on-the-job activities to trial in their own workplace.

This course will take approximately 88 minutes to complete.

Why are the Five Key Styles for Great Leadership Training Important?

Leaders who rely on a single style — regardless of the situation — often struggle to get the best out of their teams. A style that works well for an experienced, self-directed team can fall flat with a team that needs more structure and direction, and vice versa. Inflexible leadership is a common driver of disengagement, poor delegation, and inconsistent results.

Because leadership styles are behaviours rather than fixed traits, they can be learned and adjusted — unlike personality, which is much harder to change. Building awareness of multiple styles gives leaders a broader toolkit to draw on as circumstances shift.

This course directly builds that flexibility, helping leaders match their approach to their team and context rather than defaulting to habit.
