Injury Management for Employees Training Course (NZ Version)

$27.50 inc. GST

This course gives employees in New Zealand workplaces a clear, practical understanding of injury management — what it involves, what their responsibilities are, and how to play an active role in their own or a colleague’s recovery. It covers how to respond when an injury occurs, how to support a return to work, and how to work with others involved in the process, including managers, health professionals, and ACC.

Designed specifically for New Zealand organisations, the course uses local legislation, workplace scenarios, and plain-language content to make injury management accessible to all employees. On completion, participants receive an instant digital certificate as evidence of their training.

This course will take approximately 42 minutes to complete.

Why is the Injury Management for Employees Course Important?

When an injury happens at work, how it is managed in the days and weeks that follow makes a significant difference — to the worker’s recovery, their sense of security, and their ability to return to meaningful employment. Poor injury management can prolong time off work, damage workplace relationships, and increase organisational costs. Employees who understand the process are better placed to support early intervention and a safe, sustainable return to work.

Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (New Zealand), organisations have a duty to manage work-related risks and support the health and safety of all workers. This includes how injuries are responded to and managed after they occur. The Accident Compensation Act 2001 also establishes obligations for employers and employees in supporting rehabilitation and return-to-work outcomes.

This course gives employees the knowledge they need to respond appropriately to injury, meet their obligations, and contribute to a recovery process that works for everyone.
