This course explores what active supervision really means in early learning – going beyond “watching children” to being consistently alert, engaged and ready to respond. Educators will see how effective supervision supports children’s safety, wellbeing and learning, across both indoor and outdoor environments.
Through practical examples and everyday scenarios, educators learn how to apply the principles of active supervision, work as a team, and design environments that make it easier to see and support every child. The course is designed for Australian early learning services and includes a digital certificate of completion for training records.
This course will take approximately 79 minutes to complete.
Why is the Active Supervision in Early Learning Course Important?
Supervision is one of the most critical responsibilities in early learning. When supervision is passive or inconsistent, the risk of injury, illness, behavioural incidents and complaints increases.
