LMS for Transport, Logistics and Supply Chain

a truck driver from a logistics company training with Tribal Habits

Train distributed teams on critical safety, procedures and compliance without relying on manual follow-up.

Your workforce is spread across depots, shifts, vehicles and sites. When training relies on someone remembering to follow up, it slips. Safety, procedures and compliance need to run on their own, not on manual reminders.

Industry Reality

The biggest training challenges across transport, logistics and supply chain

Most training platforms were built for stable, desk-based workforces.

Transport, logistics and supply chain operations are neither.

01

Safety risk sits at every link in the chain.

Whether your workforce is behind the wheel, on a warehouse floor, or at a distribution centre, they’re working in one of the most injury-prone environments in the Australian economy. Transport, postal and warehousing has the second-highest workplace fatality rate of any industry, and vehicle incidents remain the leading cause of workplace deaths. Training has to hold up on the road.

02

Every partner in the chain answers to an audit.

Whether it’s a regulator, a client contract, or a customer’s vendor qualification process, transport and logistics businesses are routinely asked to prove training happened, not just scheduled. For fleet operators, the amended Heavy Vehicle National Law lands 1 August 2026 with new accreditation and audit standards, raising the bar again.

03

Filling frontline and distribution roles never stops.

Australia is short by close to 28,000 truck drivers, and warehousing and distribution roles rely heavily on casual and peak-season labour. Turnover is constant, and roles rarely sit empty for long. Wherever your workforce sits, driving, picking, packing or dispatching, onboarding runs week to week, not on a quarterly cycle, and new starters can’t wait for the next scheduled session.

04

Contractors and 3PL partners sit outside core systems.

Owner-drivers, labour-hire warehouse staff, and 3PL partners performing work under your brand often sit outside core HR and payroll systems. That puts them outside standard induction and compliance tracking too, invisible until an audit or incident asks for evidence that doesn't exist. By then, it's too late to backfill the record, and the gap is on your books, not theirs.

The Difference

What a better training system looks like

The same operation. A completely different training operation.

Before Tribal Habits

With Tribal Habits

Training records scattered across spreadsheets, SCORM files and paper toolbox-talk sign-offs.

Every record in one auditable place, exportable the moment a client, auditor or regulator asks.

Every depot inducts new starters and subcontractors differently.

New starters and contractors follow the same induction, every site, every time.

Licence and certification expiries surface only after something's already lapsed.

Renewals and refreshers trigger automatically, before anything expires.

Paying per seat for drivers and casuals who log in twice a year.

Only pay for the staff and subcontractors who actually log in and train that month.

Compliance content rebuilt from scratch every time legislation changes.

Editable modules update on your terms, without waiting on a vendor or rebuilding SCORM files.

Pre-Built Training Library

Training built for how transport and logistics actually runs

From depot to delivery, covered

he Tribal Habits training library has hundreds of ready-to-use modules, including AU/NZ compliance and safety topics. Plus, more covering leadership, people management, and other workplace skills. And unlike locked libraries, every module is editable, which means you can start with what’s already built, then tailor it to your own sites, fleet, and procedures.

With the amended Heavy Vehicle National Law landing 1 August 2026, most operators are updating safety management documentation and accreditation evidence right now. Use Sage AI to turn your own Chain of Responsibility obligations, fatigue management procedures, or depot-specific SOPs into structured, trackable training, without waiting on a locked library to catch up.

Pricing

Transparent pricing, based on who actually trains

In reality most staff don’t do training every month, so why should you pay for everyone every month? Tribal Habits charges on monthly active users (someone who logs in at least once during the month). So you only pay for the staff who log in and train each month.

How Monthly active user pricing works

You only pay when someone actually trains

Most LMS platforms charge per seat, whether staff log in or not. Tribal Habits uses Monthly Active User pricing, so you only pay for a driver, warehouse worker, or subcontractor when they log in and train that month. Store your full roster (including casuals and subcontractors) at no extra cost.

How Monthly active user pricing works

What it looks like in practice

A logistics operator with 400 staff and a subcontractor network across multiple depots commits to a 100 MAU plan. Each month, those active users are a mix of drivers renewing licence-linked certifications, warehouse staff completing refreshers, new starters completing induction, and subcontractors logging in for site-specific inductions. In a high-turnover month, if usage runs over, the extra users are charged at the plan rate. In normal months, nothing extra is charged.

What matters beyond the training content

Why do logistics teams love Tribal Habits?

Online modules, your own courses and induction, clinical content, and external records like licences and qualifications, all on one worker profile. Reporting spans every kind of training, so you see the full competency picture without stitching systems together.

Pricing
Pricing

Pay for who trains, not stored users

Monthly active user pricing means casuals, part-timers and subcontractors only count when they log in each month. No per-seat fees for staff who aren't using the platform.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Tribal Habits suitable for smaller transport, logistics or supply chain operators?

Yes. Tribal Habits is designed for organisations without a dedicated L&D team, which includes most transport, logistics and supply chain operators in Australia and New Zealand. Active user pricing means you only pay for staff who are actively training, regardless of your size.

Can we train drivers, warehouse staff, and office teams in the same platform?

Yes. Tribal Habits supports role-specific training pathways, so drivers, warehouse staff, dispatch and office teams can all be served from one system.

Does the platform work for subcontractors who aren't on our payroll system?

Yes. Subcontractors can self-register for the training assigned to them, with their own tracking and reporting, without needing to sit inside your core HR or payroll systems.

Will it work on phones or shared depot tablets?

Yes. Tribal Habits is fully mobile-responsive and works in any modern browser, no app or installation needed.

Can we track licence and certification expiries, like forklift tickets or medical certificates?

Yes. You can set expiry dates on certifications and licences, with automated reminders sent before they lapse. External certifications can also be uploaded and tracked within the platform.

Do you have modules specific to the Heavy Vehicle National Law or Chain of Responsibility?

Our library includes driver safety, fatigue awareness, manual handling, and drug and alcohol modules relevant to transport and logistics. We don’t currently have a prebuilt module for NHVR- or Chain of Responsibility-specific obligations. Use Sage AI to turn your own safety management system documentation into structured training modules for those requirements.

Can we track toolbox talks and practical observations?

Yes. You can assign offline activities like toolbox talks, ride-alongs or observations, and track completion within the same system.

Can the platform integrate with our WHS platform or rostering system?

Yes. Tribal Habits integrates via SSO, Zapier, public API, and SCORM/LMS Link, so content can feed into a WHS platform you already use, without replacing it.

Do we have to create all our own content?

No. You can use or customise hundreds of editable modules, or create your own from scratch using our guided editor and Sage AI.

Where is our data hosted?

All data is hosted in Australia. Tribal Habits is ISO 27001 certified, giving you the security posture required for sensitive workforce and compliance data.
