Sage is a built-in virtual coach that guides creators through the process of building a new topic from scratch. When a creator starts a new topic, Sage walks them through the initial setup — asking structured questions about what the training is about, why it matters, and who it is for. During content creation, Sage sits alongside the editor providing contextual tips, instructions, and best practice prompts at each stage. Sage also runs an ongoing quality checklist, scoring the topic against key criteria and flagging areas to improve. When the topic is ready, Sage provides a readiness summary and enables the creator to request a free expert review.

How it works

All Sage AI features are powered by Amazon Bedrock, running within AWS infrastructure in Sydney, Australia. AI models used include Amazon Polly (text-to-audio) and Anthropic Claude/Haiku (content generation). Data sent to AI models is not stored, not transferred outside Australia, and not used to train any AI model. Guardrails are applied within Amazon Bedrock to monitor for harmful content. All AI features are optional and can be disabled entirely by each organisation.

Benefit

Gives organisations confidence that their training content and learner data remain private and secure when using AI features. Australian data residency is a meaningful differentiator for AU/NZ organisations with data sovereignty requirements. The ability to disable AI entirely suits organisations with strict policies on AI tool usage.

Sage AI Narration (Voiceover)

How it works

Sage AI Narration uses Amazon Polly to automatically generate an audio voiceover from text within the Narration, Audio, Interact, and Hotspot elements. Creators write or paste the text they want narrated, and the AI generates an audio file from that text. Multiple voice options are available. The generated audio can be accepted, regenerated, or replaced with a manually recorded or uploaded alternative.

Benefit

Enables creators to produce narrated training content without any recording equipment, microphone, or voice talent. Particularly useful for the Narration element, where each slide can have its own AI-generated voiceover script — allowing rapid production of video-like content from text alone. Saves significant time and cost compared to traditional audio production.

Sage AI Summary

How it works

Within any point (chapter) of a topic, creators can trigger Sage AI Summary to automatically generate a 30-50 word introduction to that point based on the existing content within it. The AI reads the point’s elements — text, narration scripts, quizzes, polls, Q&A, interact content, and more — and generates a summary that describes what the learner will explore. The creator can accept, edit, or discard the generated summary.

Benefit

Saves creators the time of writing introductory summaries for each section of a topic after the content is complete. Ensures every point has a clear, learner-facing orientation sentence without requiring any additional writing effort. Particularly useful for long topics with many points where writing summaries manually would be tedious.

FAQs

The AI reads text-based elements within the Point — including text, narration scripts, quiz questions, poll content, Q&A, and interact content. It cannot ingest video, images, embed, or SCORM elements — so summary quality depends on how much text-based content is present.
Yes. Generated text can be edited after acceptance — the AI output is a starting point, not a locked result.

Sage AI Transform

How it works

Sage AI Transform allows creators to convert existing content — pasted plain text (up to 10,000 characters) or selected elements from within the topic — into one of many interactive elements. The AI rewrites the content to suit the selected output format, not just reformatting it. Output elements include: Quiz, Fill-In, Match, Insight, Quote, Q&A, Poll, Sort, Hotspot, Scenario, Accordion, Tabs, Flipcards, Acronym, Timeline, Process, List, and Narration with many options, tone and choices available for each for a significant range of possible outcomes. Some outputs are available on Lite plans; others require a Business plan. Creators access Transform via the Content box in the topic editor, or via a quick-transform icon on any existing element.

The most powerful authoring accelerator in the platform. Allows creators to take raw source material — a policy document, SOP, training manual, or existing topic content — and rapidly generate a range of interactive training elements from it. Dramatically reduces the time required to convert text-heavy content into engaging, interactive learning. A creator can paste a process description and generate a quiz, a set of flipcards, and a process interaction in moments.
